Paper Submission – NOW CLOSED

We would now like to invite the authors of accepted abstracts to submit a full paper (up to 10 pages) by 31 May, 2016.

 Paper Submission Instructions:

  • Papers must relate to the original accepted abstract submission information..
  • Any late papers submitted past 24 June 2016 must be emailed directly to the conference organisers at healthyhousing2016@qut.edu.au.
  • Papers that do not comply with the template (click here to download full paper template) or are submitted via other means will not be considered.
  • Do not include the names and contact information for authors and affiliations. This information will be captured in the submission process.
  • Use Australian spellings (refer to Macquarie dictionaries). Be cautious when using automatic spell-checkers as default spellings are often American.

 Paper Assessment Process:

  • Papers will be blind peer reviewed.
  • The Committee’s decision is final.
  • The criteria for evaluating papers include but are not limited to the following:
    • Clarity of paper
    • Relevance to practice or policy/scientific merit
    • Alignment with the Conference theme/s

Notification of Outcome:

It is expected that authors will be notified of their paper acceptance by 31 July, 2016.  This paper will be blind reviewed. Authors of accepted papers will be invited to present their paper at the conference – as either an oral or poster presentation. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and excellent papers will be selected and recommended to International Journals (to be confirmed).

Conference Publications:

The Organising Committee can confirm that the conference proceedings will be published via QUT Digital Collections in an Open Access format. By submitting an abstract/paper, you are agreeing to the terms of Open Access as outlined in the terms and conditions below.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Should your abstract/paper be accepted by the Conference organisers, the presenting author will be required to register to attend the Conference as a paid delegate no later than 30 September, 2016. Failure to register may result in the paper being removed from the Conference program.
  • Neither the invitation to submit an abstract/paper, nor the acceptance of an abstract/paper, constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation, registration or other costs associated with the Conference. Similarly, no speaker fee will be paid to presenters.
  • The Conference organisers reserve the right to allocate accepted papers into sessions as they see fit in accordance with the overall program objectives.
  • Abstracts that do not include all required information may be rejected.
  • The decisions of the Conference organisers are final.
  • You retain copyright to your work and grant the Conference organisers a non-exclusive licence to publish your full-text conference paper (once peer reviewed and accepted) under a (CC BY) Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. You are able to redistribute, republish, and remix your work, as long as you attribute the proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Energy and Environment of Residential Buildings as the original publication source.
  • All accepted, peer-reviewed papers and the Conference proceedings will be assigned a DOI and be freely available online (Open Access) as soon as it is published via QUT Digital Collections. The DOI enables papers to be tracked for impact via tools such as Google Scholar, ImpactStory, Almetric, and PlumX.  The proceedings will be provided an International Standard Book Number (ISBN).
