Bikeways & Walkways

Walking is a great way to explore the city and surrounds, as it’s compact and well connected with walkways and bridges linking South Bank to the nearby contemporary arts precinct and the CBD.


CityCycle

CityCyle is a convenient and environmentally friendly bicycle hire facility offered by the Brisbane City Council. The facility operates between 5am and 10pm, seven days a week. Although bikes can be returned to any station 24 hours a day, stations are located in close proximity to each other. Every CityCycle station has a minimum of 10 bike racks making it an easy, reliable and convenient transport option. CityCycle stations are available across Brisbane’s city centre, stretching from Newstead to West End and Toowong.city cycle

Once a CityCycle subscription is purchased, you can hire and return a bike at any CityCycle station within the network. Subscribers can ride all day for free, as long as the bikes are returned within half-hour intervals. After this half-hour of free use expires, a service charge applies. Click here for usage fees.

This popular Brisbane river cruise has been taking locals and visitors to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary for over 70 years and is a “must do” experience while in Brisbane. Our Koala and River Cruise is the perfect way to get up close and personal with Australia’s cuddliest creatures while enjoying the sights and sounds of Brisbane’s most attractive waterfront suburbs, only accessible by boat.

Departing Brisbane from the Cultural Centre Pontoon daily at 10:00am and arrives at Lone Pine by 11:15am. The boat will depart Lone Pine at 1:45pm, arriving back in the city at 3:00pm.
